THE MOST CRITICAL PART OF ADDING A SENSORY ROOM IS THE INSTALLATION OF THE EQUIPMENT. THERE ARE INDUSTRY STANDARDS FOR THE EQUIPMENT THAT KEEP IT SAFE FOR THE CHILDREN. IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN RESULT IN INJURY AND CAN VOID THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. THE EXPERTS AT SENSORY ROOM SOLUTIONS ARE JUST THAT...EXPERTS AT BUILDING SENSORY ROOMS. THE DESIGNERS AND INSTALLERS WORK WITH MOST MANUFACTURERS IN THE INDUSTRY.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Jay Perkins, Founder of Sensory Room Solutions, was the creator of Sensations TheraFun, the largest sensory based activity center in the U.S. While operating the center for 10 years, he became an expert in the use of sensory rooms in schools, clinics and gyms. He recently left Sensations to start building sensory rooms full time.
Jay is one of the few experts in the U.S. who works as an independent contractor, and is a Southpaw Certified installer.
The inspiration to build Sensations TheraFun was his daughter, now 17, who has a rare genetic syndrome that causes many sensory challenges. As he became more exposed to children with sensory challenges, he realized many schools didn't have the resources to build sensory rooms. But when they had the funds, they didn't know how to start their room. With this, Jay became the country's leading independent expert in building sensory rooms in schools.
